Athletics hold a special place in my heart. I was an active kid and sports gave me an avenue to feel like myself, seen, and accepted. Movement provided a healthy release of my energy and a place to find connection and friendship. Athletics', team sports, and movement provided me with a framework and foundation to carry into my adulthood lifestyle.
