It's time to celebrate America's Birthday! 

Celebrate our home by enjoying one of your favorite things about this great country. Whether it be a dip at Sliding Rock, eating a hotdog by Hickory Nut Gap Farms, or visiting your favorite Buncombe County Park, LIVE IT UP!

The Asheville Downtown Association is hosting an Independence Day Block Party!

EVENT SNAPSHOT
 • Date: Friday, July 4
 • Neighborhood: South Slope, Downtown Asheville
 • South Slope businesses are open all day
 • Event festivities: 5 PM – 10 PM
 • Fireworks: 9:30 PM

BLOCK-WIDE HIGHLIGHTS
 • All day – Wicked Weed Brewing: live-music marathon on the patio + specialty releases
 • All day – Bear’s Smokehouse: DJ sets, grilled-to-order specials, signature cocktails

 • All day – Basketball, Pickleball, Drink Specials and more at Asheville Sports Club
 • 5 PM – South Slope sidewalks come alive; food-truck court & marketplace vendors open
 • 5 PM – 9 PM – Mountaineer Motor Tours Car Show on Coxe & Buxton (vintage rides and muscle cars)
 • 5 PM – 8:30 PM – KidZone (Federal Alley) with inflatables, face-painting, giant games — presented by Well Played Board Game Café
 • 5:30 PM – Asheville Yards Stage: 100th Army Band
 • 7:30 PM – Asheville Yards Stage: Mission Accomplished
 • 5PM –9PM  – Asheville Yards: Ultimate AirDogs high-flying dock-diving shows
 • 9:30 PM – Fireworks finale with prime views throughout South Slope
